Pension, Profit Sharing & Employee Benefits

Selzer Gurvitch Rabin & Obecny designs benefit plans that help protect the financial base of their clients. Bankruptcy, Debtors' Rights and Creditors' Rights

The firm has experience in representing debtors, creditors' committees, secured creditors and unsecured creditors in all aspects of Bankruptcy under Chapters 7, 11 and 13, including motions for relief from the automatic stay, cash collateral litigation, asset sales under § 363 of the Bankruptcy Code, preference litigation, discharge litigation and plan confirmation litigation. The firm also has experience in workouts and non-bankruptcy liquidations. When the Bankruptcy forum is not appropriate, the firm has experience in both State and Federal Courts placing businesses into receiverships, obtaining injunctions to prevent the wasting of assets, seizing assets both before and after obtaining a judgment, obtaining and defending confessed judgments and litigating the rights of noteholders, makers and guarantors.

Trademarks

In transactional matters, members of the firm have advised clients on venture capital financing transactions, mergers with public companies, and a wide range of securities law issues involving public registration, private offerings, SEC no-action and interpretative letters, and broker-dealer and investment advisor compliance.
